πŸš† Woodbrook DART Station - Now Open!

15 minute walk (1km) from Shanganagh Castle Estate. The walking route goes south through/past Shanganagh Park, past Crinken Church, and reaches the station on the coastal railway line. Opened in August 2025 with direct services to Dublin city centre.

  • Walking Route: Leave Shanganagh Castle Estate and enter the main park path
  • Walk out from the estate entrance onto the wide footpath through Shanganagh Park, heading away from the Dublin Road side. Follow the main path across the park, passing Talbot House
  • Stay on the primary path as it curves gently through the open green space and leads you onward toward the centre of the park. Continue down past Tilly's Coffee / Shanganagh Recycling Centre

Who Does What? Estate Management Guide

Understanding who to contact for different matters in our mixed-tenure estate

Our Estate Structure

Shanganagh Castle is a mixed-tenure development with different organisations managing different aspects. As our community grows with new residents moving in, this means who you contact depends on your tenure type and the issue at hand.

🏒 I'm in a Cost Rental Apartment - Who Manages My Home?

β–Ό

Your Landlord: Land Development Agency (LDA)

Your Contact for Applications & Tenancy: Occu (manages applications and tenant services on behalf of LDA)

Cost Rental is a long-term, secure rental tenure where rents are based on the cost of building and maintaining homes, not market rates.

For issues: Use the contact form below to reach Occu/LDA

🏠 I Purchased My Home (Affordable Purchase) - Who Do I Contact?

β–Ό

Scheme Administrator: DΓΊn Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC)

For Common Areas: Owners' Management Company (OMC)

As an affordable purchase homeowner, you own your home (with a potential equity share held by the council that can be redeemed later).

For building issues in your unit: Your responsibility as owner

For common areas (courtyards, walkways, etc.): Use the contact form to reach the OMC or property management company

🏘️ I'm in Social Housing - Who's My Landlord?

β–Ό

Your Housing Authority: DΓΊn Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC)

Social homes are allocated and managed through the local authority's standard social housing processes.

For all housing matters: Use the contact form to reach DLRCC Housing Department

🌳 Common Areas - Who Takes Care of Courtyards, Walkways, etc?

β–Ό

Managed by: Owners' Management Company (OMC)

Day-to-Day Operations: Property Management Company (contracted by OMC)

The OMC governs shared areas for multi-unit elements. They collect service charges, set budgets, and contract a property management company to handle maintenance.

For common area issues: Use the contact form to reach the property management company or OMC

πŸš— Roads, Public Lighting, DART Path - Who Maintains These?

β–Ό

Taken in Charge by: DΓΊn Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC)

Once completed to council specification, these areas become public infrastructure:

  • Roadways
  • Path to Woodbrook DART station (now open!)
  • Associated public lighting

For issues with these: Use the contact form to reach DLRCC directly

NOTE: Car parks, central amenity areas, internal courtyards, walkways, and bike storage remain private (managed by OMC).
