Shanganagh Castle is a mixed-tenure development with different organisations managing different aspects. As our community grows with new residents moving in, this means who you contact depends on your tenure type and the issue at hand.
🏢 I'm in a Cost Rental Apartment - Who Manages My Home?
Your Landlord: Land Development Agency (LDA)
Your Contact for Applications & Tenancy: Occu (manages applications and tenant services on behalf of LDA)
Cost Rental is a long-term, secure rental tenure where rents are based on the cost of building and maintaining homes, not market rates.

🏠 I Purchased My Home (Affordable Purchase) - Who Do I Contact?
Scheme Administrator: Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC)
For Common Areas: Owners' Management Company (OMC)
As an affordable purchase homeowner, you own your home (with a potential equity share held by the council that can be redeemed later).
For building issues in your unit: Your responsibility as owner
For common areas (courtyards, walkways, etc.): Use the contact form to reach the OMC or property management company
🏘️ I'm in Social Housing - Who's My Landlord?
Your Housing Authority: Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC)
Social homes are allocated and managed through the local authority's standard social housing processes.

🌳 Common Areas - Who Takes Care of Courtyards, Walkways, etc?
Managed by: Owners' Management Company (OMC)
Day-to-Day Operations: Property Management Company (contracted by OMC)
The OMC governs shared areas for multi-unit elements. They collect service charges, set budgets, and contract a property management company to handle maintenance.

🚗 Roads, Public Lighting, DART Path - Who Maintains These?
Taken in Charge by: Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (DLRCC)
Once completed to council specification, these areas become public infrastructure:
- Roadways
- Path to Woodbrook DART station (now open!)
- Associated public lighting
