We want this website to be accessible and usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
1) Our commitment
We aim to follow good accessibility practice and work towards WCAG 2.1 AA standards (or better) for key pages and features.
Ireland has introduced accessibility requirements for certain products and services under the European Accessibility Act, transposed into Irish law by S.I. No. 636/2023, with application from 28 June 2025. Even where a community website may not be strictly in scope, we treat accessibility as a baseline expectation.
2) Current status
Compliance status: [Fully compliant / Partially compliant / Not yet assessed]
Known issues (if any):
-
[Example: Some PDFs may not be fully tagged for screen readers]
-
[Example: Some images may be missing alt text]
3) What we’re doing to improve
-
Using readable fonts and sufficient colour contrast
-
Ensuring keyboard navigation works on menus and forms
-
Adding alternative text to images
-
Testing key pages on mobile and with assistive technologies
4) Feedback and contact
If you find any part of the site difficult to use, tell us and we’ll do our best to fix it.
